Sharon Cuneta shares how she admitted to her son Miguel that he was adopted in the hopes of shedding light to other adoptive families.
Sharon received an inquiry, seeking advice on the best time to reveal the adoption of his or her child.
From experience, the Mega Star suggested not to keep the identity of the child for so long, as such was the case when she and her husband Kiko Pangilinan made an agreement to reveal it to their son while he was young.

On her latest vlog on YouTube, Sharon related how Miguel came into their lives when he was just a day old, and for the actress, he was truly heaven-sent as she had been always praying for a son.
She was able to admit to Miguel his adoption when the latter curiously asked her if he was adopted, following the story of their favorite show The Little Couple.
As the Megastar weighed in on the different reactions of children when they found out about their adoption, she was also careful to suggest that everything depends on the family's situation.
She shared, “I'd rather tell my child habang bata siya but not in the way na seryosong-seryoso na parang big deal ito dahil ganito. Hindi.
“'Yung akin is, 'You are special because you are chosen, and you are part of our family even if you didn't come from my tummy.
“'You really came from my heart and God gave you to us because we really prayed for a boy.'
“And I always tell him na mahal siya nung biological mother niya, pero hindi ko kinukuwento 'yung background.
“'Yun ang sine-save ko paglaki na niya when he's able to understand the details.
“But ako, in my opinion, habang bata.”
She also stressed, “Always, always emphasize the fact na he's very special or she's very special kasi pinili siya.
“And family doesn't always has to be blood… It's not always blood.
“And this son of mine, the day that he came, I vowed to become his mother.
“The way I feel for him is no different than my biological children. It's exactly the same.”
Sharon has two daughters with her husband, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilnan, namely Frankie and Miel. She also had a child with actor Gabby Concepcion, her eldest daughter KC Concepcion.
