John Lloyd Cruz reveals worries for son Elias Modesto's future
John Lloyd Cruz introduces his son, Elias Modesto, to his constant onscreen partner Bea Alonzo.
The award-winning actors reunited through a video call via Instagram recently.
At the beginning of their video call, Bea and John Lloyd talked lightly and started by catching up about each other's lives.
At one point, Bea teased John Lloyd and asked, "Ito na lang, ano, great love mo?"
"Huwag na nga..." John Lloyd shyly answered.
He then tested how well Bea knows him.
"Kailan ako pinakamasaya?" he asked Bea.
She answered, "Kapag kasama mo si Elias."
John Lloyd asked, "Kailan ako pinakamalungkot?"
"Kapag mag-isa ka?" Bea replied.
"Kapag mag-isa ako, oo." John Lloyd agreed.
He then elaborated his current situation in quarantine and his fears in raising his son.
"Hindi ako mag-isa, pero parang mag-isa, alam mo 'yun, alam ko nakakausap kita, nakakausap ko mga kaibigan ko, pero iba pa rin, e, parang may pag-iisa pa rin, e.
"Ito yata yung pinakamalungkot na uri ng pag-iisa,'yung tipong napapalibutan ka naman ng mga tao, pero hindi mo lang masabi kung saan galing 'yung pakiramdam na mag-isa.
"Natatakot ako para kay Elias, na dito ko siya palalakihin sa ganitong estado ng mundo.
"Nakakatakot, e, ang bilis nang mamatay, ang bilis nang pumatay.
"Kaya naisip ko matatawag ba nating masuwerte 'yung sarili natin.
"Ako nahihirapan akong sabihin na masuwerte ako, nakakahiya. Nakakahiya na masuwerte ka."
Bea tried to help John Lloyd approach the matter more positively and told him, "Ano ka ba, feeling mo lang na wala kang magagawa pero sa totoo lang marami tayong puwedeng gawin, tayong mga masuwerte."
John Lloyd on later on played the guitar on the livestream and sang "You Are My Sunshine" for Bea.
After the song, Bea told John Lloyd, "Na-miss kita..." to which John Lloyd replied, "Nami-miss kita..."
A knock on the door was then heard and John Lloyd introduced his son Elias, whom he referred to as his sunshine.
The call ended when John Lloyd had to put Elias to bed and told Bea, "See you when I see you..."
Bea and John Lloyd starred in various films and TV series through the years and have been linked romantically numerous times but both parties have denied any real romance behind their enduring onscreen love team.
John Lloyd is currently on indefinite leave from showbiz since 2017.
