Due to COVID-19 pandemic, most people around the world are forced to stay at home to keep safe from the disease.

As a result, many activities and events were put on hold or even cancelled--including the graduation rites of students.

Despite this, former beauty queen Charlene Gonzalez made sure that her twins, Andres and Atasha, would still feel special on their graduation day.

On her Instagram, Charlene posted two separate messages for her kids, who successfully graduated from high school yesterday, May 22.

The proud mom lauded the twins for all their sacrifices and perseverance in the past years.

"Although, you may have not physically walked across the stage for the graduation ceremony due to the global pandemic, it does not take away the many years of scarifice, preservance, defeats, victories & life lessons you've learned & continue to learn during your school life & life in general."

Charlene also said that she and her husband Aga Muhlach are excited for the bright future ahead of them.

"Ultimately, know that we are extremely proud of the kind hearted & god fearing person you have become.

"We celebrate you and Andres everyday & your dad & I are extremely excited for what life has in store for the both of you.

"Continue dreaming & reaching for your dreams & putting God first in all your plans and he will lead your path. We love you so so so so much!!!"

The former Miss Universe Philippines 1994 also shared an inspiring message to all the graduating students of the class of 2020.

She wrote, "To all the 2020 graduates...you belong to a special graduation batch that will be forever remembered for their courage, resilience and strength..
