Migo Adecer's dad taught him to own up to his mistakes

By Marah Ruiz

Kapuso actor Migo Adecer is currently staying in Hong Kong so he had to spend Father's Day apart from his dad who lives in Australia.

The handsome young actor talked about his relationship with his dad Dennis in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com.

He says that one of the greatest lessons he learned from his dad is owning up to his mistakes.

"My dad told me, if you're gonna do something that I told you not to do or if you do something that you know is gonna anger me, you better not get caught. If you get caught, you will get punished. If you're gonna do something, make sure you do it good," Migo recalls.

He also says that part of owning up to his mistakes is never blaming his father for any shortcomings.

"You should never feel guilty or feel responsible for how I turned out or when I make you upset. It had nothing to do with you. You had taught me everything right," he says as a message to his father.

He also wants to promise his dad that he will do better as a son.

"I love you so much. I think the best gift that I will continue trying to give you is being the best son that you deserve," he says.
