It is second nature for Filipinos to always laugh and look at the positive side of life.
Take for example, Fil-Am TikToker Jeffrey Juarez, who has been spreading good cheers online by featuring his family in his hilarious prank videos.
In an exclusive interview with Family Time, he shared what his motivation in creating his funny videos.
Jeffrey declared, “I guess I don't like awkward situations and love having a good time. So sometimes, if things don't seem as fun as they are, I'll just start some music, I'll start dancing, I'll start cracking jokes. I'll start a game, I just really enjoy entertaining.”
He added, “I think it's nice to have that comedic relief even in the moment they might be like, 'What is Jeffrey's doing?'
“But when they see the after effect they will laugh about it. In the long run they will be very thankful. I hope [laughs] through the video.”
Jeffrey also noted the importance of spending time with your family amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, because he knows he might not get the same opportunity in the future.
“Yeah, I think family time is more important now [more] than ever. I'm not really gonna have this opportunity to spend this much time with my family again.”
Family Time also interviewed life coach Aiza Caparas-Tabayoyong to discuss the benefits of laughter to our health.
Ms. Tabayoyong pointed out that laughing can boost our immune system to better protect our body from any disease.
She explained, “Laughter is the most efficient way to produce the T-cells that boost our immune system against many kind of diseases.
“Laughter is the cheapest and the fastest, most efficient way to produce it. Bakit tayo tatawa e ang daming problema?
“Because it doesn't help to worry naman all the time…Life is too short to focus on the problems alone.”
