Rachelle Ann Go shares amusing tale about her pregnancy

By Cara Emmeline Garcia

“If you asked me a few months ago when are we going to have a baby, I would always tell you that 'I'm not ready yet,'” writes Hamilton singer Rachelle Ann Go.

In a tell-all post made on Instagram on Monday, November 23, Rachelle admits that being confined in her house in London made her realize that she wanted to start a family with her husband, Martin Spies.

When everything shuts down here, I felt like maybe this is the right time to start a family… I kept looking at baby videos,” she candidly wrote.

“It was so weird because I know I was too scared to give birth (ouchie). Also, I was reluctant to pray for it because what if I'm not ready to be a mama yet?!

"I had to be sure I was ready because in my experience, every time I ask God for something, He usually gives it right away. Be careful what you pray for.”

One day, she and Martin finally decided that they are ready to have a baby, and lo and behold, “we have this blessing right away!”

“I didn't know I was pregnant up until 8 weeks,” she continued.

Rachelle then shared a few pieces of advice for women who, like her, are scared to face motherhood.

“It's okay to feel that way and acknowledge that. It is really scary but remember, we are strong women,” she said.

“Don't let other people's experiences turn you off (I've heard so many horror stories); our bodies are all different. We can all cope. You can cope with it!!!”

The international theater actress also empathized with women are having difficulties bearing a child and said, “just be patient--His timing is always perfect.”

She added, “You might've experienced a loss, God is not over writing your story yet… Hold on to Him. His grace is always sufficient.”

Rachelle Ann Go and Martin Spies announced that they are expecting their first child through their vlog on November 22, 2020. Despite knowing the gender of their baby, the duo said they would remain mum about it until the child's delivery in 2021.

The couple tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony in Boracay in 2018.
