Max Collins and Pancho Magno look forward to first Christmas with son Skye Anakin

By Racquel Quieta

Max Collins and Pancho Magno are having an extraordinary Christmas this year for two reasons. First is that obviously we're still in the midst of a pandemic, and the second is that it'll be their first Christmas with their son Skye Anakin.

In an interview with GMA Lifestyle, the Kapuso couple shared how they plan to celebrate Christmas this year and make it uplifting and memorable despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pancho reveals that they plan to carry on their family's Christmas tradition, although they might make some adjustments because of the health crisis.

“We usually celebrate at home talaga with family.

“We play games and I hope magawa namin, pero now siguro mga nasa ano lang kami 50% ng relatives na nandito or baka less pa.

“'Yon naman ginagawa namin, even for New Year's Eve.”

Meanwhile, Max expressed her excitement over the fact that it'll be Baby Skye Anakin's first Christmas with them.

“Well, what would be different this year is may Baby Skye na, so at least all the family members will get to meet him, since they haven't met him yet.”

The first-time parents also suggested ways on how people can stay safe, enjoy the holidays, and have a memorable and meaningful time with their loved ones.

Pancho says, “Keep the faith, keep the love--family, your cousin, relatives mo, to your lolos and lolas, your babies. 'Yon lang.

“'Yon lang 'yung pinakamabibigay mo na gift this Christmas, kasi ayokong lumabas kayo e. Baka makakuha pa kayo ng Coronavirus.

“Just hug them and just say 'I love you.'”

Max, on the other hand, highlighted how technology played an important role during the pandemic and how it can help bring families closer this holiday season even if they can't physically celebrate together.

“It's nice kasi somehow dahil sa pandemic lumiit ang mundo because we're all online. So, we can always talk to our loved ones, and so that's really what we want to focus on this year.

“Kahit na hindi namin nakikita 'yung family members namin, nakakapag-usap kami online. And we hope for the same thing for everyone out there.

“Even if you can't physically be with your family members, at least you can all spend time via Zoom this Christmas and New Year and still tell them that you love them.”
