It's Christmas in a couple of days and although celebrations will be different this year, the Christmas spirit is very much alive. Influencer and entrepreneur Divine Lee, like many of us, had to make adjustments to their family's Christmas celebration.

During the Philips Avent virtual event titled “#UpForTheChallenge: Conversations on motherhood in the new normal,” Divine detailed her family's Christmas plans this year.

“This time, we won't be with my family in Manila. So, Zoom-Zoom na lang muna. It's also my dad's birthday ng Christmas.

"So, that's a bit sad. But we totally understand na 'yung love language ngayon is not putting your seniors, the seniors in your family in harm's way.

“I mean, as much as gusto namin lahat kami lumipad doon, we don't want to compromise naman 'yung health ng dad ko 'tsaka 'yung safety ng family namin. So, okey na. Bawi kami next year. So, 'yun 'yung difference sa Christmas namin.”

She also shared why she looks forward to spending her first Christmas with only her husband Blake Go and their kids, Baz and Blanca.

“Magulo kasi 'pag Pasko, as in ang daming nangyayari. So, this Christmas will be a bit solemn for us, na kami lang talaga, our small family. Because we never got to celebrate that.

“Pagdating ni Baz, para kaming barangay. I have eight siblings plus their asawas, plus mga girlfriend, 'di ba? So, we never really got to spend Christmas na me, Blake and our small family.

Divine then shared more details of their intimate and meaningful Christmas celebration this year.

“This Christmas we're doing that in a beach house kasi nga hindi rin kami pwedeng pumunta sa in-laws namin. Kami-kami lang talaga. We're keeping our bubble. So, yeah. Hopefully, It's something memorable for the kids.”

Although Divine is primarily known as a socialite, she's very practical when it comes to purchasing things for their children or things that they need at home.

During the virtual event, she revealed that most of their baby Blanca's stuff are actually hand-me-downs from his Kuya Baz.

“Si Baz, yung first (baby) ko, magastos yung first ko. 'Yung second ko, wala na siyang bago.

“Number one, hindi rin naman kami nabigyan ng chance makaikot-ikot because she was born (on) October 1 and then by March, naka-lockdown na tayo.

“So, siyempre 'yung earlier time, 'yung mga first three months up to five months, hindi mo naman nilalabas 'yung kid madalas, 'di ba?

“So, hindi rin siya naka-shopping, nakapunta sa toy store. So, ito na 'yon.”
