Celebrity couple Assunta de Rossi and Jules Ledesma, Christmas came early and it happened on October 24, 2020, when they welcomed their daughter Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra Schiavone Ledesma or Baby Fiore.

On Christmas eve, first-time mom Assunta celebrates Baby Fiore second month.

In their respective Instagram accounts, Assunta and her younger sister Alessandra marked this milestone of their “miracle baby.”

Many celebrities commented on their posts and praised Fiores for being adorable including veteran actress Sandy Andolong, YouTube star Alex Gonzaga and Bubble Gang comedienne Lovely Abella.

Tough pregnancy

According to Assunta, Baby Fiore came as a surprise to her and husband Jules, whom she married in 2004.

The latter was a widower and already has two children from his late wife.

Announcing her pregnancy in May, the actress called her baby a true “miracle.”

“On March 5, 2020, I paid a visit to my OB-GYN after not seeing him for 3 plus years. Why? I had missed my period.

“An ultrasound scan and blood test confirmed later that day that I was about 5 weeks pregnant. I know, shocking!

“Getting pregnant the natural way with myoma and endometriosis (which I both have) is extremely difficult.

"Only medical intervention or a miracle can make it happen. This was a miracle!"

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Mommy Assunta had to deal with different challenges while carrying Baby Fiore in her womb.

In her 8th month of pregnancy back in September, she shared her experience about getting a check-up amid this ongoing health crisis.

She also revealed that she was suffering from shortness of breath and she is claustrophobic.

“Today was check-up day. It's tough to be experiencing shortness of breath and pregnancy rhinitis. Plus, I'm claustrophobic pa.”

Thankfully, her daughter has given her no qualms throughout the pregnancy.

“Mabuti at napakabait ni bagets, hindi ako binibigyan ng problema. Ang swerte-swerte ko!!! Everything's good, kaya smile pa rin! Konti na lang.”

Aside from Assunta, there were other celebrities who gave birth during this pandemic year.

Former Ika-6 Na Utos star Ryza Cenon gave birth on October 31 to a healthy baby boy, while Kapuso showbiz couple Pancho Magno and Max Collins welcomed baby Skye Anakin Magno last July.

In addition, "Chika Minute" anchor Iya Villania and husband Drew Arellano were blessed when Alana Lauren V. Arellano came into their lives on July 18, 2020. Iya gave birth via natural delivery.
