Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa introduce baby Corky in latest vlog

Mark Herras and Nicole Donesa recalled the emotional and nerve-racking moments leading to the birth of baby Corky as the Kapuso couple formally introduces their son in their latest vlog.

Mark and Nicole welcomed baby Corky on January 31, 2021. They initially aimed for a normal delivery but after two ineffective inductions, they decided that Nicole undergo a cesarean birth instead.

The actress shared the scariest moment of her childbirth, saying, “After they induced me, ang pinakamasakit and stressful sa lahat, bumagal 'yung heartbeat ni Corky. I was in shock kasi I thought after the IE and after putting the medicine in me, I thought everything would be okay na. 'Okay na, let's just wait. I'm gonna give birth na.' Biglang nag-rush 'yung mga nurse and 'yung OB na naka-duty doon sa akin. Nagmamadali sila and then they were doing all sorts of things sa akin. They were inserting an oxygen mask na, all of these things.”

The actor, meanwhile, added, “[Twelve] hours nag-labor so 12 hours din ako nag-iisip. Di ko alam kung ano gagawin ko. Di ko rin alam kung okay ba si Ico, kung okay ba si Corky.”

Despite the struggles and challenges they had to face, Mark and Nicole remain grateful that their son was born safe, and that they can finally share their story to the public.
