Pia Wurtzbach pens sweet birthday message to sister Sarah
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is putting every issue that had happened between her and her sister, Sarah Wurtzbach, as she greets the latter a happy birthday on her latest Instagram post.
On Wednesday, March 10, Pia wrote a lengthy message directed to her sister as she turns a year older.
“It's my dear sister's birthday today, @sarahwurtzbach,” she began in the caption.
“You'll always be my little baby sister. I know you're a big girl now, and you have Lara and Logan, but in my eyes, you are still the baby girl that I love so much.
“I know we haven't seen each other in a few months, and a lot happened, but know that I'm always thinking about you and I love you very much. I love you unconditionally.”
The former beauty queen added, “I can't wait for bonding moments again very soon and to hear your very hearty and contagious laugh.
“Some people may misunderstand you, but please remember--I got your back always, and whenever you need me, I'm here for you.
“Happy birthday, @sarahwurtzach.”
Accompanying the heartwarming post is a series of photographs taken from Pia and Sarah's childhood up to the present.
In October 2020, Sarah Wurtzbach vented to the public about her ill feelings towards her sister Pia and their mother, Cheryl Alonzo-Tyndall, through her social media account.
She then apologized for her outbursts days later but reiterated that she's still angry and cited that being “silenced for many years takes a toll on you.”
Sarah added, “I don't want fame or be acknowledged by others or money or things. I really want a hug. I feel so alone every day.”
The following month, Pia flew to London to resolve their family issues privately and asked the public to be kind when it comes to their comments on social media.
The beauty queen added, “Bilang anak at kapatid, napakasakit sa akin na makitang magkaganito ang mga taon mahal ko. Hiling ko na lang po sa inyo na isama n'yo kami sa inyong mga dasal at sana mahanap na rin ng aming pamilya ang nararapat na healing.”
