Francis M's 'Kaleidoscope World' shirt reappears in Saab Magalona's tribute video

Saab Magalona celebrated Father's Day on Sunday, June 20, by doing a cover of her late dad's song, “1-800-Ninety Six.”

The song was included in Francis Magalona's 1996 album, Happy Battle.

“In memory of Francis M, I borrowed your song [and your clothes]. Happy Father's Day, Pops!" wrote Saab in the video.

Needless to say, Saab did a wonderful job in reviving the track and reigniting interest in her father's music catalog.

She even managed to successfully highlight the song's message and deliver her call to encourage the public to register and vote for next year's national elections.

But another standout in the video was Saab's shirt, which looked absolutely familiar to music fans in the 90s.

And in case you too were wondering about it, the psychedelic shirt was the same one worn by the Master Rapper in the video of his 1995 hit song, “Kaleidoscope World.”

The video of “Kaleidoscope World” was also sort of a family affair, with Francis's wife, Pia, and their kids having participation in the video.

This wasn't the first time that Saab pulled out the now legendary shirt and displayed it on social media like an amulet.

In July last year, Saab ushered a wave of nostalgia and awe after she posted a picture of herself wearing the familiar shirt.

“You and I are gonna live forever,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

Francis M. died on March 6, 2009 after months of battling acute myelogenous leukemia.

Some of Francis's most notable hits include “Cold Summer Nights,” “Mga Praning,” “Girl Be Mine,” “Whole Lotta Lovin',” and “Mga Kababayan.”
