Last May, former beauty queen Rachel Peters and Camarines Sur governor Migz Villafuerte announced that they will become parents soon.
First-time mom Rachel Peters admits on Instagram that she's feeling the pregnancy blues.
The former 2017 Miss Universe Philippines announced in May 2021 that she's pregnant with her first child with longtime fiancé, Camarines Sur governor Migz Villafuerte.
In her Instagram post, Mommy Rachel said that she was hit by a wave of sadness seeing how much her body changed in the past few weeks.
She posted, “Lately I've been catching myself looking at old photos and feeling an overwhelming wave of sadness about how much my body has changed over the last few weeks. I often feel like a completely different person."
Still, Rachel constantly reminds herself that having a baby girl is a wonderful blessing.
Talking about her baby she noted, “But then I take in deep breathes and remind myself of the beautiful blessing growing inside me and am filled with gratitude and excitement for what's to come (pregnancy is such a trip).
“Not sure if there are any mama's to be out there that need to hear this but you are beautiful!”
Fellow mom, model Vanessa Matsunaga read Rachel's Instagram post and offered some words of encouragement.
Vanessa, who has two kids of her own, commented on Rachel's post saying, “You are beautiful now you have always been beautiful. I love this photo, I think majority of us go through that stage where we feel a bit unsure about how we look as we grow and grow and grow during pregnancy.”
She added, “I guess when we are pregnant we tend to think we are much bigger than we actually are? Maybe because our bodies change so fast, our clothes won't fit and carrying a baby is so heavy!
“You know what's even crazier? Most of us say: 'I miss my baby bump' and something even crazier? Towards the end...we can't wait for the baby to go out, and when the baby is out and we are sleep deprived, we wish the baby stayed in a bit longer hahaha.
Rachel got engaged with Governor Migz in November 2019, after more than five years of being together.
