Princess Velasco says pandemic is perfect time to give birth
OPM Acoustic Princess and GMA Music artist Princess Velasco shared what it was like to give birth and care for three children during the pandemic.
Princess found out that she was pregnant with her third child Sara Bella just after the lockdown last year. At first, like any other moms, she got worried and concerned about the situation.

"Actually I found out that I was pregnant kaka-lockdown lang no'n. Syempre at first may mga worries, mga concerns like how it will be kasi at that time I'm sure kayo rin felt that way na you didn't know what's gonna be like in the next few months. Hindi ko alam kung manganganak ba ako sa bahay, kung safe ba. Pero of course, the baby is a blessing indeed," Princess shared in a press interview on Thursday, October 28.
According to Princess, after giving birth to Sara she realized that this is the perfect time to conceive and get pregnant because peopel are all just staying at home.
"Right now, since I already gave birth, I realized na this is the perfect time actually to conceive and get pregnant kasi we're just staying at home. And the health care system naman has adjusted on how to be safe when giving birth in the hospital. Also the checkups are mostly online na lang 'yan and less na talaga 'yung face to face with the ob [gyne].
"Kung mag-bed rest ka naman pwede ka sa bahay and I was still working from home at that time so I would do online gigs and recordings online. So perfect din para sa akin. It was also a time for me to rest and prepare for the coming of the baby," Princess said.
She added, "Kasi I would imagine if I became pregnant the way it was before I would have to go out, I would have to do like out of town gigs, so mas mahirap 'yun for me. pero since online na lang naman lahat, I was still able to work and continue singing as well even if it was just from home. Kasi talagang pahinga talaga."
Princess gave birth to Sara on December 3, 2020 with her husband Mark Herbert Rosario. Their eldest child, son Kobe, was born in 2015, followed by another son, Milo, born in 2018.
Meanwhile, Princess is set to release a new song titled "Ang Ating Pag-ibig" under GMA Music on November 19.
