Christmas is fast approaching and as early as now many people have started flocking to malls to complete their Christmas shopping list.
Unfortunately, many working people do not have the luxury of time to visit the mall to buy gifts and other Christmas needs this season. Like actor Dingdong Dantes, who is currently inside a taping bubble for an upcoming project.
During this time, the Kapuso Primetime King relies on online shopping to complete his Christmas shopping list.
"I'm currently in a lock-in shooting and siguro I will be home by mid December pa, so talagang lahat ng shopping kailangan online na. It really is convenient especially for working parents like me," said Dingdong during the launch of his and his daughter Zia's newest commercial for Shopee's Christmas campaign on Friday, November 26.
He further noted about shifting to online shopping, "It's really the convenience, especially for working parents like me. We want everything convenient, we want everything fast and, of course, gusto natin marami talagang options.
"Hindi lang options sa merchants and selections kundi pati na rin sa freebies with our purchases. So, you know, adding all these up, talagang it really adds value to the whole experience. Hindi lang siya parang one-time transaction, ang daming kasama whenever you get into the app."
As a shopper, Dingdong said he and his family have really adapted to online shopping. He said, "Nowadays, inevitable na talaga ang online shopping. I think na-realize natin 'yan during this pandemic. I really believe that it's gonna be here to stay."
Although the method is now digital, the actor remains a wise buyer.
He explained, "Ako 'yung tipong shopper na, kahit noong hindi pa online, alam ko na 'yung gusto kong bilhin, e. Kumbaga, pinaplano ko na talaga siya, pagpasok ko ng kahit anong store, online man o hindi, I already know what I need and what I want.
"For me, I do some research before I buy an item that I like. I make sure that I get the best deal when I purchase by browsing through shops on Shopee. When I check out, I make the most out of the vouchers I have to enjoy discounts, mga free shipping and cashbacks.
"If you're planning to shop this season, I'm sure you can find the best deals on your Christmas wish list when you shop this 12.12 Big Christmas Sale."
Speaking of Christmas, Dingdong and Zia were also asked about their wish list during the media conference.
Kumbaga, it's my Christmas wish. Of course, bukod sa mga motorcycle accessories na kakailanganin ko para sa aking mga motorcycle."
It seems like Zia is going to grant her dad's wish this Christmas as she enumerated the things on her shopping list.
The six-year-old daughter of Dingdong and Marian Rivera said, "I want to buy for dada a coffee 'cause he always makes coffee with me and he always sings every morning."
Of course, Zia also has gifts for her mom and her younger brother Sixto.
She said, "For Sixto, I will give him a car 'cause he always plays with car. I want to buy for mama a pillow 'cause she always takes care of me and Sixto. I need to give her a pillow to rest."
This Christmas, Dingdong said he and his family will celebrate the occasion like how most Filipinos would do.
"I think for most, we put in a lot of effort when we celebrate Christmas, which is the same with us. So, when we do our Christmas shopping, we put a lot of thought into the gifts we buy and try to get them as soon as possible. Luckily, we have Shopee to help us out to do that conveniently.
"Pagdating naman sa Noche Buena, we always celebrate with our loved ones, just like most Filipinos, kasi talagang Christmas is a special occasion that is best spent with your families."
