Bianca Umali remembers pain of losing her parents at the age of 10

Bianca Umali opened up about being orphaned at an early age in her first-ever full-length YouTube video titled "Draw My Life."

“When I was five years old, I lost my mommy. My Mommy became an angel. I lost my Mommy when I was five because of breast cancer and I was left with my Dad. And I did everything with my Dad which is why I'm a certified daddy's girl,” she recalled.

The Kapuso star also shared how her mother's untimely passing strengthened the relationship she shared with her father as they started bonding over their common hobbies and interests - from motorcycles to loud music and guitars.

She then recounted how she lost her father to heart attack five years later.

“I love my Dad so much and it was my Mom who [became] our guardian angel but then five years after, I lost my Daddy as well… He became an angel. He went up to heaven with my Mommy and since then, I became an orphan at ten [years old].”

The Legal Wives star thanked her late parents for being the “reason” she had the courage to join the entertainment industry early in her life, noting the times they tirelessly accompanied her to all her auditions and casting calls.

“I just know that I had the best, supportive, [and] most loving parents anyone could ask for… Up until today, I know I have two beautiful guardian angels with me. Alam ko na I am always protected. I'm always guided. In everything I do, kasama ko sila - hindi man physically pero alam ko na nandito sila lagi sa loob ng puso ko,” she said.

After renewing her contract with GMA Network in November 2021, Bianca landed a coveted spot in Sparkle's Next Brightest Stars for 2022.

Some of the Kapuso actress' highly-anticipated projects include Mano Po 2 and her international stint for HBO's Halfworlds.
