Dingdong Dantes turned sentimental with his Father's Day greeting for his father, José Sixto Dantes Jr. whom he loves to call Daddy Jigg.
In his Instagram post today, June 19, the Kapuso Primetime King showed a photo of his dad comfortably sitting on an 80-year-old metal-framed lounge chair while smoking a cigarette.
According to Dingdong, the preserved chair from 1940 served three generations of the Dantes clan and was even used as his first instant crib.
He shared, "The Jigg Master sits on a 1940's chair that was commissioned to my late grandfather BGeneral Sixto Dantes (WW2 officer). Later on, the chair was passed on to Daddy Jigg, and even became my first infant crib when I was born at Camp Crame in August 1980.
"Some things never get old. The success of their evolution lies in the caretakers, who really appreciate their value and significance to make them count in history.
"I am always grateful to have been under the command of this fine gentleman.
"Happy Father's Day, sa mga erpats diyan."
When Dingdong said he used the historic chair as one of his first cribs, he was not fooling around as he showed a video in the same post where his dad demonstrates how his mom attended to him as a baby while he comfortably lay down in the chair that they transformed into a crib.
