Melissa Ricks announced pregnancy with second baby
Melissa Ricks announced pregnancy with her second baby in an Instagram post on Thursday, August 25. This will be her first child with non-showbiz husband Michael Macatangay.
In her post, she showed a video of her, Macatangay, and her daughter with her former partner Charles Togezaki named Kiera. It also showed the actress' doctor appointment with her family accompanied by the audio of a child's voice.
“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen,” she quoted from Isiah 60:22.
On the other hand, her Instagram Story showed a picture of her showing off her baby's sonogram together with Kiera.
Melissa and MIchael have been married for over a year. They tied the knot in the United States in May 2021.
In a separate post, the celebrity couple showed off the actress's baby bump in a mini photo shoot. It showed her and her husband cradling her belly. Meanwhile, in one of her stories, she revealed that she's already 16 weeks pregnant and compared her baby's size to an avocado.

Melissa, meanwhile, received messages from both showbiz and non-showbiz friends, congratulating them and expressing happiness at the good news. These include her former competitors in a reality-based talent competition Hero Angeles, Neri Naig and Joross Gamboa, Jessy Mendiola, Say Alonzo, among others.
Recently, celebrities have announced their own pregnancies on social media to let some of their family, friends and fans know of the good news. Ricks is one of the most recent celebrities who flaunted their pregnancy.
Bianca King also took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy, while Angelica Panganiban posted her maternity shoot. Meanwhile, Jessy Mendiola recently revealed the gender of her own “Baby Peanut” on her vlog.
