Paolo Contis is making good on his promise to keep his relationship with his daughter Summer Ayana strong.
Despite being oceans apart, Paolo Contis did not forget to greet his daughter Summer on her birthday.
On the evening of January 4, the Bubble Gang star posted a simple, but meaningful birthday greeting for his dear girl, who just turned 4 years old.
A man of few words, Paolo wrote, "Happy Birthday my Ganda! I miss you everyday! ❤️"
Paolo, quite understandably, has been longing to see and hold his daughter again. Summer is currently in the U.S. with her mother LJ Reyes and brother Aki.
The short but sweet message is Paolo's first post about his daughter in almost two years. The last time he posted about Summer was back in August 10, 2021, or a month before his viral apology post in which he acknowledged that his relationship with LJ Reyes was no more.
It would be remembered that in the same apology letter, written in two parts, Paolo shed light on the issues that led to the separation. Aside from apologizing to LJ, he also apologized to both Aki and Summer.
“To LJ, I'm very sorry. For everything. Sa lahat-lahat.
"To Aki, I wish I could've done things differently and listened to you more. I'm sorry I failed you."
Before ending his heartbreaking letter, he wrote this:
"To Summer, I'm sorry my Ganda. I love and miss you so much. Papa will do his best to be better. I will always be here for you. I promise."
"Ganda" is Paolo's nickname for Summer. A quick look at Paolo's Instagram feed should tell anyone that Paolo loves his daughter dearly. Even before his breakup with LJ, he had been posting about Summer a lot, most especially their sweet bonding moments.
