It's almost 6 years ago, after actress Sunshine Cruz and Macky Mathay admitted their relationship to the public and one of the questions raised was if their respective kids get along well.
Based on their social media posts, it looked like both Sunshine and Macky's kids have accepted each other as part of their so-called “modern family.”

Sunshine has three daughters with her ex-husband Cesar Montano namely Angelina Isabelle, Samantha Angeline, and Angel Franchesca. Meanwhile, Macky has two sons, Roan and Cole, and a daughter named Charlize with his former wife Camille Farinas.
The kids are enjoying Korean BBQ. Unfortunately, Macky's youngest child, Charlize, was not able to join them.

Sunshine penned a touching Father's Day message to Macky, lauding him for being a good father figure to her kids. She said, "I couldn't ask for more because my children are blessed to have the BEST father figure they could have. We are all blessed to be loved by you. I am truly grateful to God for sending someone like you in our lives. Salamat dahil tinanggap at minahal mo din kami ng mga anak ko. Happy Father's Day. Napakabuti mong ama kina Charlie, Roan and Colin and again thank you for loving Angelina, Sam and Chesca too. May God bless you more! We love you my Macky!"
Macky voiced out his exasperation after Sunshine and her daughters received sexual predatory comments. Acting as their patriarch, the former released a statement on social media, condemning those who sexualize his girlfriend and her three girls. He said, "These sexual predators online, who are violating, objectifying, cyber sexually harassing my Sunshine and the girls WILL NEVER SIT WELL WITH ME!" Macky then pointed out that the country "should have stricter laws against this kind of cyberbullying." He added, "For me, it is like “cyber-rape,” being committed by these maniacs online. This is a form of cybercrime and these people should be put in jail, for the minors in an institution! Dapat mabigyan ng leksyon itong mga bastos na ito!"
Macky said their six angels are his inspiration.
