The coronavirus pandemic has forced all of us to make our house clothes our everyday wear. But with the ease of the lockdown and a vaccine still nowhere in sight, fashion designers and houses have started making chic personal protective equipment (PPEs) that'll be great enough for buying at the grocery and running errands for the fashionistas of the metro.
Filipino fashion brand Kamiseta is now selling a collection of fashionable PPEs for their customers. From overalls to dresses, they've got styles and designs that'll fit your every mood. Our favorite would have to be the ruffled dress made with water-resistant fabric that comes in the colors of either beige or light pink.
Plains and Prints is bringing safety and versatility to your style with their Essentials Collection. Furthermore, the collection is produced sustainably from past season's materials combined with water-repellant fabric making it a perfect staple for the new normal.
Bayo also released their New Basics collection featuring two designs namely the Carly and the Callie. Both designs feature a water-repellent fabric, detachable hood, a waist hugging belt, and two side pockets. If you purchase one you also get two free masks so you're sure that it'll match by the time you hit the door.

Filipino designer Vania Romoff answered the heed of her customer's call by creating medical-grade protective outerwear set for the new normal. Each design is created with a practical hood and drawstrings to define the wearer's silhouette and is outfitted with a zipper closure for easy wear.
Aside from manufacturing PPEs for frontliners during the height of the pandemic, Filipino designer Rajo Laurel has also designed fashionable, functional, and reusable outerwear for your daily protection. Each PPE, under his House of Laurel label, is made out of poly microfiber water-repellant material to create a modern-day armor for the new normal.
Similarly, designer Jo Rubio has also been coming up with fashionable but wearable designs for her latest collection of PPEs made of non-medical but high-quality fabrics to armor its wearer from viruses. According to the designer, “We keep in mind their safety while making them feel confidently protected in style.”
