Reins Mika had just become the first Filipina to win the Digital Creator Award at the 37th Elite Model Look (EML) World Final Competition.
The 21-year-old Fil-Chi model's victory was announced last January 31 (already Feberuary 1 in the Philippines).
Reins was one of the four winners in the prestigious international competition for models.
She was hailed as the female winner in the Digital Creator category, beating competitors from Italy and the United States.
Reins's victory means she will now have a top talent contract with one of the Elite World Group agencies.
Famous participants of past EML competitions include supermodels Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, and model-turned-actress Olga Kurylenko.
Other Filipina models and beauty queens have also joined the renowned modeling competition like Maria Patricia “Patty” Betita, Ruffa Gutierrez, and Kuku Trinidad.
In her Instagram post, Reins expressed happiness and gratitude over her EML win.
