It's official: we're all about to turn blue come 2020.

Because Pantone, the high court of color, has declared its Color of the Year for 2020 to be Classic Blue.

Now before you say that Classic Blue is boring, let us remind you that blue is the color of royalty. Need we remind you of Kate Middleton's ring? And how she rocked a blue dress during the announcement of her engagement?

Just like her, we could all use a little stable color like this one in our lives. Which is probably the reason why Pantone chose it.

In an interview with the New York Times, Pantone's Vice President Laurie Pressman describes the color as a “desire for a dependable, stable foundation” and is “non-aggressive,” “easily relatable” and “honest.”
