BLACKPINK's Rosé shares Met Gala 2021 preparations

BLACKPINK member Rosé Park graced The Met Gala 2021 for the first time, and her red carpet moments are certainly unforgettable.

Rosé wore a Yves Saint Laurent little black dress with a large white bow from YSL's winter 2021 collection. Hollywood actress Zendaya wore the exact same piece for the cover of British Vogue October 2020.

The K-pop star wore her little black dress in chic modern style with light graphic eye makeup, a large floral choker, and dangling earrings.

In a video uploaded by Vogue on YouTube, several Met Gala guests shared their preparations before the red carpet, among them is Rosé who started her video showing her
meal before the ball.

"Before anything important, I always have to have rice," she began.

She also shared that the first person she told about her Met Gala debut is none other than her sister, known to the public as Alice Park.

Rosé said, "I think growing up she was my biggest inspiration, you know how little sisters look up to their older sisters? I used to steal her clothes and she'd give me the death stare."

Despite being a frequent in international events, Rosé can't help but still get the jitters when she's about to make a public appearance.

"I never knew that I would actually attend one [Met Gala] myself. It's crazy.

She continued, "Just like in Coachella when we were told we're going to perform in Coachella. We're not just going to watch, we're going to perform. I was like, "What?!"

As for her fellow BLACKPINK members, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa are just as thrilled as she is. "Lisa asked me to take pictures of the celebrities. I don't think I'm allowed to do that."

Rosé gracefully walked the red carpet alongside YSL creative director Anthony Vaccarello, but in the video, she admitted she was extremely nervous before the event.

"My expectation is to really black out, get nervous, and freeze. But I'm hoping that doesn't happen. I'm hoping everything's the opposite of that."

Her constant reminder to herself? "Don't trip, make sure there's nothing stuck in your teeth."

She ended her "get ready with me" video showing off her little black dress and adding finishing touches to her look.

"I guess I like to wear mini black dresses to red carpets."

She also managed to sneak in a photoshoot near her hotel room before heading to The Met Gala.
