Luane Dy shares inspiration in latest collaboration with a local clothing brand
Kapuso artist and first-time mom Luane Dy-Gonzalez recently launched her collaboration with MUM, a local fashion brand that specializes in creating clothes for breastfeeding mothers.
According to Luane, she drew inspiration from fellow mommies for this latest collaboration.
“Ang pinakamalaking inspirasyon ko talaga yung mommies natin. 'Yung mga mommies natin na.. alam naman natin kung gaano ka-hirap especially ngayong may pandemya,” she shared.
“Ano' yung pwede mong sabihin sa kanila or ikwento or i-share sa kanila na kahit papaano magiging positive pa din yung outlook nila sa buhay. 'Yung aatupagin pa nila yung physical and mental well-being nila. Sila 'yong mga naging inspiration namin,” Luane added.
The celebrity mom was also thankful to the owner of the brand for asking her to have this beautiful collaboration.
“Actually thankful ako kay Christine (de Leon), 'yung owner ng bfeedingmum, kasi siya talaga 'yung nagtanong sa akin kung okay lang daw ba na magkaroon kami ng collab. Tapos siyempre, right away, gusto ko talaga kasi dream ko 'yon eh. Dream ko magkaroon ng sarili kong line,” Luane said.
Ever since she became a mom, she said that it was difficult to look for nursing clothes that would fit her personal style and only the basics were available.
“Tapos noong nag-uusap na kami ni Christine, parang napaisip ako na 'sige, try ko.' Gusto ko din naman talagang i-try. It's not just for breastfeeding moms. It's not just for moms, it's for everyone, para sa lahat ito ng babae. Babaihan project ito,” she happily said.
According to the celebrity mom, she came up with all of the designs in this collaboration.
“Ang daming changes, 'yong mga pa-sample namin talagang balik balik.
“Tapos 'yung fabric pa, medyo challenge 'to kasi pagdating sa printed fabric.. tapos naghahanap kami 'yung comfortable na fabric talaga at siyempre we always want it to be affordable para sa lahat.”
Luane revealed that she already had a lot of design ideas and finally used them in this collection, which made the entire process a little easy.
“May mga ideas ako na naka-save lang para someday kung magkaroon man ako ng sarili kong line. Ayon, doon namin nagamit 'yon kaya medyo madali kasi kumbaga naka-prepare na parang ready na for that,” she shared.
When asked if she would pursue this creative collaboration further in the future, she answered, “Pag-iisipan ko pa nang mabuti 'yan. Medyo mahirap eh, lalo na ngayon. Pero abangan ninyo yung part 2. May part 2 na siya thank you Lord.”
