LOOK: Ellen Adarna's first choice of wedding gown

By Izel Abanilla

Did you know that Ellen Adarna initially chose a different gown for her and Derek Ramsay's wedding last Thursday, November 11?

While the actress looked divine as she donned gown no.6 as she walked down the aisle, Ellen might have also looked stunning on her first choice of wedding gown.

In an Instagram post by Ellen's manager, Danel Louise Calixto, he revealed that gown no.5 was actually the actress' dress choice.

"This was supposed to be @maria.elena.adarna gown made by @marcrancy."

Ellen went all out for her big day and prepared nine dresses for her wedding. She may not have taken each one to the altar but she, nonetheless, gave everyone the glory it deserved by posting them all one by one on her Instagram.

Most of her gowns were made by designer Marc Rancy.

Dress no.5 was a see-through, heavily-beaded, spaghetti-strapped creation embroidered with pearls and crystals. It also featured a flowy, thigh-high slit skirt which exposed her entire leg.

Marc himself calls it the “the other 'main' gown.”

Comparatively, both gowns had very significant resemblances in terms of design.

In another story, Danel said gown no.6, which Ellen ended up wearing, was actually a "THE PROTOTYPE."

In fact, "it was the first wedding gown she ever fitted and the gown that made her say yes to @marcrancy."

Danel further went on to share about a past conversation he had with Rancy where he suggested to the designer to feature Ellen Adarna for his bridal collection.

Ellen's team also considered sourcing out gowns from other countries but the actress did not want to bother herself with possible mobility and alteration issues given the current travel and health restrictions, so she opted for a more practical option instead.

What sealed the deal between Ellen and Marc, according to her manager, was that when Ellen fitted one of her gowns, "Marc ikaw na, ikaw na gumawa ng wedding gown ko."

Accordingly, numerous designers wanted to make Ellen's gown but Marc was said to be the first and only designer the actress ever said yes to.

As Danel puts it, Marc's creation became "THAT DRESS THAT MADE ELLEN FEEL THAT SHE IS A BRIDE, FOR THE FIRST AND LAST TIME."

Ellen and Derek married each other in a picturesque multi-million sunset wedding held at Rancho Bernardo Luxury Villas mountain resort in Bagac, Bataan.

The couple, especially the bride, took the internet by storm with her exquisite beauty and radiance.

Would you have preferred gown no.5 instead?
