Ysabel Ortega's GMA Thanksgiving Gala gown was made by her mom's bridal gown designer

On her YouTube channel, Ysabel Ortega gave a glimpse of her preparation for the first-ever GMA Thanksgiving Gala held last July 30.

In the vlog, Ysabel showed what transpired during her gown fitting with her trusted fashion designer Val Taguba.

Val is the wedding gown designer of the actress' mom Michelle Ortega when she married former police director Greg Pimentel, now PDEA deputy director general, in January 2018.

"It's so exciting because I worked with Sir Val before many times and one of my mom's milestones in her wedding. It was Sir Val who did her gown and it's so beautiful.

"And then after that, he dressed me up naman for another ball so now it's my third time with Sir Val and I super love his works.

"So I'm so happy kasi feeling ko na achieve talaga namin 'yung old hollywood na aesthetic na gusto namin."

Ysabel wore an Audrey Hepburn-inspired gown that goes with the ball's theme, old Hollywood.

It is a white sequined gown with a classic tube top cut.

And because Val is a bridal couture designer, he can't help but tease the 23-year-old actress.

"Until your wedding na ha," the designer quipped.

Ysabel completed her look with a diamond necklace from JMA Jewelry and white block heel by Jefferson Si.

For her after-party, on the other hand, Ysabel donned another piece that was inspired by Aubrey Hepburn's little black dress she wore in the 1961 classic film, Breakfast At Tiffany's

According to Ysabel, they added a twist to her after-party outfit. "Medyo modern naman, 'di naman s'ya 'yung super exact."
