The country's current reigning Miss Universe Philippines Michelle Dee is drumming up buzz for her upcoming participation in the Miss Universe pageant with a photo of her that is sure to catch everyone's eye.
In one of the more recent posts on her Instagram account, Michelle posted a photo of her in a silver swimsuit, showing off her Miss Universe-ready body. In the caption to the post, Michelle simply wrote 60 days, in reference to the upcoming Miss Universe coronation night to be held in Ecuador on November 18.
It's not just a Miss Universe-ready body that Michelle is bringing to the competition. Earlier this month, the Miss Universe Philippines organization posted a short video on its official Instagram account showing Michelle practicing her runway walk. According to the organizers, the “fierce pasarela training” is part of the process as Michelle aims to “conquer the Miss Universe stage.”
Michelle already teased her preparations for the pageant last month in an interview with Unang Balita (). In the interview, she shared her excitement for the Miss Universe coronation night and how the Miss Universe Philippines team are polishing her performance for the pageant.
“Sabihin nating perfect na, mas kaya pang i-perfect. Obviously, I have so much trust in my team, I have much trust in the organization,” she said. “We all know I love giving a show and I love looking the part as well, so abangan niyo talaga.”

Last month, Michelle revealed that she would be launching a non-government organization called Global Spectrum Initiative that will “provide opportunities for individuals on the spectrum”. While no other specifics have been added regarding the launch on September 19, Michelle did name a Board of Directors that include GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group and CEO of GMA Films Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdez.
