In her YouTube vlog, Stef shared that she couldn't believe she would reach over 200 lbs after giving birth to her second child. She tells the viewer, “I was only 120 lbs when I started in show business … But after my second baby, I was a whopping 220 lbs. That's a drastic change and it didn't happen overnight.”

Reality

What started her fitness journey was all because of an accident that occurred during one of her family's leisure trips at the mall. Stef recalled injuring her leg so bad that left her bedridden for a month.

Once she was finally able to recover, she promised herself that she wouldn't let herself go and start putting in the work.

One of the things that have helped her lose weight was meal prepping to hinder her from eating extra calories.

Because of the lockdown, Stef has been doing at-home workouts with the help of her stationary bike, resistance bands, and weights.

Since the start of her weight loss journey, Stef has already lost over 40lbs or 15 kilos.

She says that she's still in the process of losing more fat but clarifies that she won't be aiming for her beach body any time soon. She assures her fans, “It's not really gonna be a journey for too much na pa-sexy pero the main focus is on how I become healthy again.”

July 25

Last July 25, 2020, Stef marked the third month of her amazing fitness journey. In the photo, one could notice the changes in her body since she has already lost 50lbs. She declared, “I've learned so much in the past 3 months, a ton about myself and my strengths and weaknesses. God has guided and given me strength. If you feel stuck or hopeless, don't give up. Continue pushing yourself and continue forgiving yourself.”

No quick fix

The StarStruck alumna shares the truth about losing weight and that there is no quick fix about it. Stef explained, “Sorry to say, but there is no magic pill. There is no magic procedure that will give you the body you want. There is no quick fix, trust me I've searched. Even if there was, the changes you need to go through internally to keep the weight off is a necessary process you have to go through. Put in the work, make the changes, and keep doing it.”

Every person has a different body type that is why Stef reminds people to never compare their fitness journey to others. She stated, "Don't compare yours to someone else's because you'll just get discouraged if you aren't getting results as fast as them. Enjoy every moment and stage of your journey, because it is totally your own."

Seven months into her fitness journey, the former 'StarStruck' avenger noticed that this neon sportswear is getting looser around her arms and waist. Good job, Stef!

Bodybuilding

The picture on the left was taken at a bodybuilding show where Stef is one of the organizers. As she recalled this event, she admitted that she felt ashamed because of her figure knowing she's engaged in the fitness scene. She recounted, "I dreaded every minute I was on stage giving awards to athletes. I just wanted to melt into a puddle and not have to be seen as the out-of-shape owner of a "fitness company." I remember seeing that picture for the first time and thinking "OMG nakakahiya." Despite this, Stef used the experience to remind herself of her progress. She said, "I don't regret being where I was, because it's those experiences that have made me become who I am."

Back fat

Stef said that there's no secret to weight loss as healthy lifestyle is the key to good health. In fact, working out is not the only solution to burn calories because eating good food, drinking tons of water, getting enough quality sleep, living in the moment, staying consistent and patient, and showing up for yourself everyday are also part of the process.

Stef changed her mindset, fixed her focus, and committed to working towards her fitness goal to gain good results.

Distractions

Stef admitted that she had a lot of detractors before but this didn't stop her to stay focused. "Sometimes that voice is just too loud and distracting, but when you focus your eyes on what you're trying to achieve and really block out the noise. You finally understand what you were looking for, and the noise doesn't matter anymore," she said.
