Alfred Vargas says goodbye to fat and says hello to lean muscles as he sheds off 20 kilograms off his weight during the quarantine.
The actor-turned-politician surprised netizens in July 2020 after he showcased his leaner body crediting regular exercise and intermittent fasting as his sure-fire ways to shedding off the excess weight.
He also mentioned feeling good and energetic after losing 20 kilos, perfect for governing his constituents and being a dad to his three children.

Before shedding 20 kilos and the lockdown, Kapuso actor and politician Alfred Vargas was happy with his dad bod as he takes care of his three children with wife Yasmine Espiritu.
After two months since the imposed lockdown, Alfred looked a bit leaner as he loses a bit of weight, especially on his cheek and neck area.
The following month, he posted a portrait photo of his “new look” while sporting longer hair.
By July 2020, Alfred revealed a new man when he sported a dark blue sando that showed off his biceps.
Alfred credits shedding off the pounds by adhering to a strict rule of intermittent fasting, or the various meal timing schedules that cycle between voluntary fasting and non-fasting over a given period.
He has also been strict about going to his at-home gym, where he would use weights to train and tone his muscles.
During President Duterte's State of the Nation Address, Alfred Vargas looked handsome in his Barong Tagalog.
As of July, Alfred said he had lost over 20 kilos since starting his quarantine program. He also mentioned that he is still far off his goal weight.
Another factor that helped in Alfred's weight loss is consistency. “Small actions can lead to big results if done with consistency. Laban lang kahit mahirap,” he said.
Alfred also said he feels “good and energetic” after losing the unwanted fat.
Alfred looks like he's training his son to become a fitness enthusiast as well at a young age.
In January 2020, Alfred Vargas filed House Bill No. 5823 that seeks to require restaurants and fast-food stores to add nutritional information to their menu.

Alfred Vargas notes that with his hectic schedules, squeezing a little exercise has been tricky. However, whenever he does accomplish a workout session, he said he feels energized and relaxed at the same time.
Aside from doing his workout at his at-home gym, Alfred makes time for his other activities like biking around their gated community with his kids.
Through biking, he is also able to bond with his children while at the same time increase his heart rate to shed a few pounds.
