Aubrey Miles has long turned her back from being a sexy star but the now mother of three can still sure claim that title as her trim and slim physique is an envy to many.

According to her exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, it all comes naturally as she looks at working out as a lifestyle and for overall wellness more than as a venue to keep her waistline small and her weight in check.

“You need to find your happy workout. You need to find the fitness [routine] na you can do everyday or at least every other day and it doesn't feel like a chore. It has to feel like it's your life. Kasi sa akin, it's my life. If I don't work out in a week, iba 'yung mood ko. I like the feeling eh. Minsan hindi na sa katawan eh, it's more of the inside,” she claims.

Aubrey admits it is not easy to find the workout program that suits you. That's why she also suggests not to be afraid or intimidated to experiment and discover the regimen that works for you.

She says, “I don't lift heavy. I'm more on circuit, body weight, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). So more on talagang inside I want to stay fit. For me, I'm really hitting the inside eh. For the outside, it just comes out eh, it will automatically come out. Sa akin, I want my heart good. 'Yung HIIT kasi more on cardio eh, my breathing. So if I do action, I won't get tired easily.

“Yoga is workout pero for me, more of a meditation siya,” she also adds.

Aside from sweating it out, she recommends being mindful of what we feed our body.

She shares, “I like eating smart. I'm not strict but I don't like wasted added calories in my body. If I want to add, I want to make it good [calories] para sulit. I like eating clean, hindi siya for dieting also. I don't know, I like the taste. I like eating vegetables, I'm happy eating fish.”

Aubrey, who has just given birth about five months ago, understands the struggles of her fellow moms in leading an active lifestyle. However, she encourages them to make time for fitness, thinking that a happy mom makes a happy baby and a happy family.

She advises, “Start slow and then you find and explore mga fitness [activities]. Fitness is different to everyone. Fitness can be this person working so hard sa office nila, nagste-stairs.

“Madami nang places to go, even in your house. Ako I actually workout in my house now kasi wala pa akong yaya, hindi pa ako makalayo,” she continues.

Starting a fitness journey has to be deliberate, according to Aubrey.

She says, “Kung gusto mo talaga, you have to make it eh. You balance. Kung hindi ngayon, you plan it na. Hindi pwedeng wala kang plano to be healthy in your life. Kung walang ganun, you will not get it. Siguro sa moms, at least once or twice a week you pump your heart.

“It's hard talaga if you think about it, and it's hard talaga when you don't train your body that you're working out. Pag sanay na 'yung katawan mo, it's not hard any more, it gets better,” she adds.
