The benefits of jumping rope

By Cherry Sun

When the community quarantine was implemented, our fitness programs undoubtedly got affected.

We couldn't hit the gym. We had limited space to train for mileage. We couldn't have access to fancy workout equipment and facilities.

But, there is a simple exercise that may address our fitness goals. We can do jump ropes!

Jumping rope can be your go-to fitness routine because it only requires you to have a rope and enough space for you to swing or whip it.

Celebrities like Ellen Adarna, Lovi Poe, and even Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner are into it, too!

4. Jumping rope helps strengthen your muscle endurance and bone density.

Jumping rope decreases foot and ankle injuries. It strengthens your bones, too.

According to the Jump Rope Institute, jumping rope keeps you on the balls of your feet and that is beneficial when you are active in sports. Meanwhile, one study supports that jumping up and down does good for your bone density.

5. Jumping rope is portable and fun.

Jumping rope provides a sustainable fitness routine.

To be able to stick to your workout regimen, you should be able to enjoy it and adapt it to your situation or environment.
