From XL to medium: Mickey Ferriols shares inspiring fitness journey

By Racquel Quieta

Just like most mommies, actress Mickey Ferriols has experienced depression when she gained weight after giving birth to her son, Brent. During her recent guest appearance on Pinoy MD Mickey revealed that at one point she weighed 175 pounds (lbs.) and her clothes size was XL.

This is ultimately what lead Mickey to adapt to a healthier lifestyle by exercising regularly and reducing her consumption of carbs.

Fortunately, Mickey's hard work has paid off and from size XL she's now down to medium.

“'Teka muna. Eh bakit parang kasya pa ilang tao ngayon dito?' Doon ka na-realize na, 'Oh, wait a minute. I am losing weight.'”

Mickey hopes to inspire other mommies to begin their own fitness journey. So, she shared some of the exercise she did to get rid of her bilbil or tummy rolls.

Mickey reveals that she does core exercises like weighted crunches for two sets of 20 counts.

Aside from getting rid of the pesky bilbil, weighted cruches also helps improve balance and posture.

Mickey also does leg raises for two sets of 10 counts. This exercise not only helps you achieve a flatter tummy, but also strengthens the lower abdomen.
