RECIPE: Make cookies in a microwave

By Marah Ruiz

Microwaves are not merely for heating but can actually be used to cook a variety of food, including cookies.

Japanese food vlogger Cook Kafemaru shared a recipe for chocolate cookies which you can make in a microwave.

She also reminds her subscribers to always check the cookies while they cook since not all microwaves perform the same.

Ingredients

30 grams unsalted butter
40 grams granulated sugar
60 grams cake flour
8 grams cocoa powder
powdered sugar

Procedure
1. Melt butter in a heat-proof bowl by putting it in the microwave for about 40 to 50 seconds
2. Add sugar and mix well
3. Sift in cake flour and cocoa powder and mix
4. Roll the dough into a small log and divide to 14 equal pieces
5. Shape the cookies by making an indentation in the middle
6. Place in a plate lined with parchment paper. Make sure there is enough space between each cookie
