Actor and politician Richard Gomez shared his easy and simple recipe of French toast with apple compote on his YouTube channel dubbed Goma At Home' series.
According to the Ormoc City mayor, it is something that he always prepares for his wife, Leyte Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez, for breakfast.
An apple compote is basically an apple sauce, made of brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
For the bread, Richard followed the traditional recipe of French toast--soaking it in milk with cinnamon before toasting it in butter.
His recipe goes best with tea so he picked fresh tarragon leaves in his backyard after cooking. Tarragon has a liquorice/anise smell, perfect for making tea, and is good for digestion and has calming benefits.
