Richard Gomez shares easy recipe for inihaw na pusit

Actor and politician Richard Gomez is back with another easy recipe on his online cooking show Goma at Home.

He took out his grill and demonstrated how to cook inihaw na pusit from the beautiful outdoor kitchen of his home in Ormoc.

First, he has a tip when choosing squid for the recipe.

"Pagdating ng morning, dumarating 'yung mga squid natin sa palengke. Kunin mo lang 'yung not so big ones, not too small. Ito, mga medium size 'to na squid," he explains.

He also explained that he will be stuffing the squid before grilling it.

"Ang then ang gagawin natin is lalagayan natin siya ng 'lamas.' 'Lamas' is 'yung mga kamatis, sibuyas, bawang and luya na panggisa. Pero we will stuff it in dito sa loob ng squid," he says.

Here's how to make Richard's inihaw na pusit.


Ingredients
squid
tomato
onion
ginger
garlic
salt
pepper
soy sauce

Procedure
1. Clean the squid by taking off head, fin, skin, and ink
2. Chop tomatoes, onions, ginger and garlic and put together in a bowl
3. Add black pepper and salt then mix
4. Stuff the squid with the 'lamas'
5. Use a toothpick to secure the stuffing
6. Put over the grill and brush with soy sauce
7. Turn and brush with soy sauce on the other side
8. Take off the grill and serve with chopped tomatoes garnished with salt
