Where to get mooncakes for your Mid-Autumn festival celebration

The culmination of the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, falls on October 1 this year. So, that's only a couple of days away. Even though the world will be celebrating it a bit differently, there's one tradition that everyone can still definitely follow: eating mooncakes!

If you have yet to buy mooncakes for your celebration, below is a list of shops that offer pick-up and delivery.

Eng Bee Tin Chinese Deli

The iconic Eng Bee Tin Chinese Deli has over 20 variants of mooncakes to choose from, including their newest premium flavor, the Ube Mooncake.

You can order their mooncakes through four different portals. For next day delivery within Metro Manila, you may order through Ubedelivery. Their mooncakes are also available on Frozen MNL, which delivers in Metro Manila, Antipolo, Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, and Noveleta areas.

You may also order Eng Bee Tin Chinese Deli's mooncakes on Lazada (Metro Manila) and Shopee (nationwide delivery).


The Peninsula Manila

The Peninsula Manila offers their exquisite handcrafted mooncakes in two packages: eight assorted mini mooncakes for PhP 3,888 and a box of four mini custard mooncakes for PhP 2,388.

Orders must be placed 24 hours prior to pick-up or delivery. Cut-off for delivery orders is at 4 p.m. For inquiries and orders, you may call +63 2 8887 5747 or send them a message on Facebook from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.


Holand Hopia

Holand Hopia offers their mooncakes in sets with prices ranging from PhP 500 to PhP 570 . You can also buy mooncake singles for only PhP 360, which can either be assorted mooncakes or six pieces of flavors such as Black Mongo, Ube, Lotus Cream, and Chocolate.


Marco Polo Ortigas

The Lung Hin Cantonese restaurant in Marco Polo Ortigas offers a selection of premium mooncakes called Celestial Treasures. They come in four different flavors: Red Bean with Double Egg Yolks, Red Lotus Seed with Double Egg Yolk, White Lotus Seed with Double Egg Yolks, and Mixed Nuts.

Their mooncakes are priced at 798 pesos for individual boxes, PhP 2,888 for a box of four, PhP3,888 for a box of six, and PhP 2,888 for a box of four limited edition mooncakes.

Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria

The Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria's Mid-Autumn Treasures mooncakes are available until October 15. They come in flavor such as lotus cream, red bean, and traditional mooncake with two egg yolks. You can also choose between the large or mini varieties.

The prices of their mooncakes are as follows:

  • Individual (mini) - PhP 175 (red bean, lotus cream)
  • Individual (large) - PhP280 (red bean, lotus cream) and 350 pesos (with two egg yolks)
  • Box of six (mini) - PhP 1,488 (red bean, lotus cream)
  • Box of six (large) - PhP 1,488 (red bean, lotus cream) and PhP 1,688 (with two egg yolks)
