Since Benguet Province is known as the “Salad Bowl of the Philippines,” the salad recipe makes use of fresh vegetables and fruits as its ingredients, including the most popular fruit in Baguio City, the strawberry.

The salad recipe is definitely perfect for those who want to eat something healthy and refreshing.

Chef Albert Magarso of Café by the Ruins showed Kara how easy it is to make Baguio Bounty Salad. It involves only eight ingredients and basically just four steps in its preparation.

If you want to recreate it at home, below are the ingredients and procedure.

Ingredients:
lettuce
watercress
banana
mango
strawberry
prawns
chicken breast
strawberry vinaigrette

Procedure
1. Put a bed of lettuce on a plate and put watercress on top.
2. Add the sliced banana, mango, and strawberry.
3. Add prawns and chicken breast.
4. Drizzle with strawberry vinaigrette.

According to Kara, you can also use kani or crab sticks if you don't have prawns.

Watch and learn how to make this no-sweat salad recipe from Chef Albert Magarso and Kara David in the Pinas Sarap video below.
