Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos try budget-friendly Thai food in Makati

In their recent vlog, real-life Kapuso couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos went on a budget-friendly food trip in an old resto in Makati City that offers Thai food. According to Gabbi, Thai food is one of her and Khalil's go-to dishe whenever they want to eat something flavorful.

"Itong cuisine na 'to, one of our go-to's ni Khal. Kunwari we're going to decide on what to eat for today or for lunch, go-to namin siya," Gabbi shared.

"If you guys have tried Thai food, most probably you know how rich their culture is na litaw na litaw sa kanilang pagkain," Khalil added.

Gabbi also shared that their family used to dine in this restaurant not because of the good ambiance but because of the taste of the food they serve.

"You go for the food, not for the ambiance or not for anything else," she said.

After a series of intros and spiels, GabLil finally arrived at the resto in Makati and got their orders. Here is the list of the Thai food they ordered, which totaled to PhP 2,050.00.

Green Curry Chicken - PhP 280.00

First, they tried the Som Tam or the green papaya salad which according to their vlog combines all four basic tastes or flavors; sour, spicy, sweet, and salty.

"Uy ang sarap...uy ang sarap, guys," Khalil said after he tasted the Som Tam to which Gabbi supported "Ang sarap, ang anghang."

After a series of taste tests with all of their orders, GabLil shared their top picks. Khalil liked the Spicy Squid, Gabbi liked the Green Curry Chicken, and they both liked the Som Tam.

"We think that Thai food is one of the best Asian cuisines," GabLil captioned in the video.

Gabbi and Khalil will topbill the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series Stories from the Heart: Love On Air together with Sunshine Cruz, Kate Valdez, Yasser Marta and Kiray Celis. This is Khalil's first Kapuso series and also his first series with Gabbi.
