Stylist Katrina Cruz confirms she has breast cancer; celebs pray for her healing

Celebrity fashion stylist Katrina Cruz opened up about being diagnosed with breast cancer.
In an Instagram post on September 2, Katrina, or Kat to people close to her, started her long post with words, “Embracing Courage,"
She then went on to share something personal which, according to her, is something out of her comfort zone.
Katrina said, “For those who know me, you'll know I usually keep my personal life off social media. But today, I step out of my comfort zone because this journey is bigger than just me and I hope sharing my story will help open the conversation among the young.
“At 41, I'm facing a diagnosis of triple positive breast cancer, and here I stand on the first day of chemo and targeted therapy.”
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines breast cancer as a disease in which cells in the breast grow out of control. There are different kinds of breast cancer. The kind of breast cancer depends on which cells in the breast turn into cancer.
Most breast cancers begin in the ducts or lobules and it can spread outside the breast through blood vessels and lymph vessels.

The former stylist of international fashion icon Heart Evangelista added that the past months weren't easy for and also hinted that she might have a major surgery.
Katrina then advised her followers on Instagram to have a regular checkup, too.
“The last couple of months have been anything but easy. I'm not naive about the rough road ahead - the treatments, the side effects, and the possibility of a major surgery. But through all this, one thing has hit home hard: cancer doesn't give a damn about who you are, how old you are, or how healthy your lifestyle is. The key? Early detection is the true game-changer.
“So, here's the deal - taking a minute to check yourself out doesn't take as long as a social media binge. That monthly self-check is way quicker than hitting pause on life when things get serious. Trust me, in the midst of all this craziness, looking after yourself means checking in on your health too.”
Now that she is facing the biggest battle in her life, Katrina received an outpouring of support not just from family and friends, but also celebrities who are all praying for her recovery.
