Mikoy Morales encourages self love this Christmas

The Christmas season has gotten Kapuso actor Mikoy Morales in a reflective mood.

In a lengthy Instagram post, he shared his thoughts about loving oneself instead of chasing after superficial happiness this Christmas.

"And so it sinks in.

"December - the most wonderful time of the year, supposedly. You receive greetings here and there, hop from one gathering to another. People are warmest during this time of the year and everyone just can't wait to take a break and celebrate the season.

"But with all these pouring in, you tend to be vulnerable. Extra. You catch yourself reflecting in between and instead of seeing what's there, you search for what's not... there.

"Bakit parang may kulang?

"For some reason, you feel blue. There's a void that you fill up with Christmas songs, parties, presents, letters, hugs, and anything to keep you warm yet still, something's missing.

"And so, this post is to remind you that whatever you're feeling, no matter how big that hole is, it's meant to be filled with you and by you alone. No, not by a special someone, a family member, or anyone else. Nor an award or a project. Not even a party. It's you. Just you.

Gift your self with genuine love from yourself.

Happy Christmas," he writes.
