More and more coronavirus cases are recorded in the country every day.

To uplift the spirits of COVID-19 patients, a doctor from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) encourages the children to create handmade “get well soon” cards.

According to Dr. Nicole Perrera, these “get well soon” cards will be delivered to COVID-19 patients as part of their breakfast tray.

The greeting cards may be mailed to RITM, Research Drive, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang.

A photographed or scanned copy of the artworks may be e-mailed to covidletters@gmail.com.

Museo Pambata shared Dr. Perreras' initiative on its official twitter account.

U.P. Child Development Center also extended the invite on its official Facebook page.

Dr. Perreras posted on Facebook the “get well soon” cards they received on March 28.

She said, “We all need a dose of happy this morning. Say hello to RITM's early morning deliveries!

"Ty kids for these rays of sunshine. 🌼🌼🌼🌼They will be our patients' special vitamins at lunchtime.”

The Department of Health confirmed 1,546 cases, 78 deaths, and 42 recoveries as of March 30.
