Kryz Uy reflects on her pregnancy as she marks her last trimester

Slater Young's wife, Kryz Uy, opened up about her pregnancy amid the enhanced community quarantine in a new vlog titled “Maternity Photoshoot at Home.”

In the video, Kryz shared how much her belly has grown and how her baby has changed her perspective in life in the past few months.

She quipped at the intro, “So far I have gained 15 pounds.”

“I just thought I'd like to document today because while waiting for the team [for the maternity shoot] I was sitting at my couch and felt my stomach move.

“I've been feeling my baby move for about a month now but this is different because you can physically see my belly move from one side to another.

“I feel like there are hiccups inside my body or there's a living thing inside my belly. I know that sounds kinda creepy but it's true!

"I just feel like it's fun to see how my body is progressing every single day.”

Just like most moms, Kryz confessed that there were times when she feels depressed by how her body has changed in less than a year.

However, because her occupation entails that she documents her life from day-to-day, she can't help but feel grateful for the blessing that's about to come her way.

“A lot of people keep saying 'I feel like a whale,' which I do say sometimes, or 'I don't feel like myself'--all these negative things. Those thoughts do enter my brain sometimes.

“But, things like this, just looking at my belly and seeing it move, or knowing that my baby is healthy... makes me feel so happy and so thankful that I'm in this position.

“So, I thought, 'You know what? It's best to document these moments--especially moments that I feel really good about myself like today.”

She then advised moms, who are in a similar position as hers, to watch other pregnancy vlogs to hinder symptoms of baby blues.

“I love watching pregnancy videos, vlogs, and updates because it makes me learn so much about what other people are going through similar to myself. It doesn't make me feel so alone.”

According to healthline.com, women who are pregnant are more at risk of depression since hormone changes can affect brain chemicals leading to anxiety.
