Celebrity twins Mavy Legaspi and Cassy Legaspi feel the stress and anxiety brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, they remain positive that we can all get through this.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Mavy and Cassy also shared ways on how they keep stress and anxiety in check.
Working out may not be part of your routine before this crisis, and we understand if you feel a bit intimidated or scared to get started. But Mavy and Cassy encourage you to workout not just for your physical health but for its other benefits.
Mavy explains, “It gives off good energy. It gives off good vibes. It releases stress. Proven 'yun.
“Just do the right amounts of workouts, right amount of exercises that will release off the stress.”
Whether it's an actual book or its electronic version, the twins suggest this may be a good time to read.
Cassy further adds, “If you're not into fiction, may self-help books. There's a lot of good books out there. It'll just entertain you and help you, and get your minds off the screen every now and then.”
Time at home may mean time to catch up on your favorite shows. What's also interesting is that there are a lot of programs and movies that are made available for online streaming as well as on free TV.
Mavy says, “Right now in GMA, they're showing a lot of throwback teleseryes. So 'yun, manood kayo. It gives you bonding time with your family, with yourself, or with your loved one.”
Mavy and Cassy suggest to explore new hobbies, too.
Cassy advises, “Try something new that you've always wanted to do before. So if you wanted to cook, cook. Or if you want to know how to sew, then sew. Just do it, you have all the time in the world.”
Mavy and Cassy also didn't forget to mention joining the fun and creative world of TikTok.
Mavy emphasizes, “I feel like when people join a trend or when people do a trending dance, you feel like you're part of a community. You feel parang you're at home, it's safe.”

While the twins have a lot of good ideas on how to keep stress and anxiety at bay, they also drew importance to treating yourself gently.
Mavy says, “A lot of people are also going through this, but at the same time, there's an end to this. Think positive. If you really can't think positive, find that inner peace in yourself. Only you have the key to do that.
"With that, just do everything you can to get yourself back on your feet because after all this lockdown, after all this pandemic, at the end of the day, the world needs you, your friends need you, your family needs you, your work needs you, your school needs you, your classmates need you.
"A lot of people need you once this quarantine is over. Think about that, get back on track, and I love you.”
Cassy also adds, “I know that there's a lot of time in our hands right now, and you feel like you have to be productive 24/7. You have to be doing homework, you have to be working, cleaning, or working out.. but please don't forget that you are only human and you are allowed to rest.
“Don't force yourself to be productive 24/7. Just know that you're human. You deserve a break, you deserve to rest. We got this. Kapit lang guys!”
