“Being a young mom is not an easy thing...” Kylie Padilla opens up about how she tries to balance her parenting responsibilities and her personal needs.
Kylie Padilla shares her thoughts on motherhood and self-love as she overcomes mom guilt.
At 27 years old, Kylie is already a mom of two. She gave birth to her firstborn with Aljur Abrenica, Alas Joaquin on August 4, 2017. They were blessed with their second child, Axl Romeo on December 9 last year.
In her recent post on Instagram, the Kapuso actress opened up about how motherhood changed her life.
She admitted, “Being a young mom is not an easy thing... but it's so strange. Motherhood has always been such a pivotal thing for me. I am naturally inclined to give more of myself to my family BUT also at the same time I find a new kind of drive to pursue all of my other dreams. I would have never tried to pursue them if I still had my old mentality, before I had kids.”
Kylie also reminded herself that looking after herself is not selfish and this act should never make moms feel guilty.
She continued, “It is difficult to juggle and sometimes mom guilt gets the best of me but I respect the fact that I can't give my family the best version of me if I can't give myself the chance to grow in all my other talents and grow as a person. I'll be forever grateful we shared our growth together.”
Kylie and Aljur tied the knot in December 2018.
