Did Wil Dasovich experience any side effect from COVID-19 vaccine?

By Racquel Quieta

Fil-Am vlogger Wil Dasovich just got vaccinated against COVID-19.

He's currently in California with his family and he vlogged about his whole vaccination experience.

Wil's father Steve and his sister Haley have already been vaccinated ahead of him and they both got the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

In the vlog, Wil talked to his dad right after he got his second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. His dad said he feels totally fine and that he had no bruise.

“I'm gonna go for a run if I feel okay for a little bit.”

On Day 2 after getting his second dose, Steve felt a slight effect on the vaccination site.

He said, “I feel it a little in the arm, but I'll see how that goes tomorrow in the golf game.”

Wil then documented his won COVID-19 vaccine experience.

He first called the number he found on the website of the California Department of Public health and tried to book an appointment.

Since the schedule is already full in the city where Wil is, he searched online for available slots in other nearby cities and found one in a vaccine clinic in Napa County.

Before getting his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, Wil asked his dad if he was worried for him. Wil, just like his dad, is a cancer survivor.

His dad said he's not scared at all and he's happy that his kids are getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

“I'm glad you guys are gonna get 'em. It's fine. You guys are gonna be fine.

“With all that clean food you eat, you're gonna have a better reaction.”

Wil then went to Napa County with his dad to get his first shot of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

On their way there, Wil shared his opinion regarding the COVID-19 vaccines.

“So, I've been reading up about all the vaccines and currently I'm gonna get Moderna.

"I think Moderna and Pfizer are the best ones, but that's an opinion.

“Ultimately, the best vaccine is the one that is available to you.”

His dad Steve also gave his two cents about getting vaccinated.

“I think it's a risk assessment like everything else.

"For me, personally, I increase my risk by not getting the vaccine. So, I got the vaccine to reduce my risk.

“And I'm a cancer survivor. I'm really not concerned about anything about the vaccine whatsoever. I've had a lot worse.”

Wil said that based on his research there are only a very few people who've had adverse effects after getting the vaccine and that these people most likely have underlying conditions.

Wil got inoculated with the Moderna vaccine at the Irene Snow Elementary School.

According to the medical professional who vaccinated Wil, the vaccine could make him dehydrated and that he might also experience headache and fatigue.

So, he was advised to drink a lot of water that day. He was also advised to not have vodka or tequila.

After getting inoculated, Wil stayed for 15 minutes for observation, just to make sure he doesn't develop any adverse effect.

Wil said the actual vaccination took only 3 minutes and 17 seconds and after a few days after being vaccinated he has had “zero noticeable side effects.”
