Popular cosmetic surgeon Dr. Vicki Belo has decided to help out in the COVID-19 vaccination program of the city of Makati.
On Instagram, Vicki shared that she and her team from Belo Medical Group volunteered to support the inoculation drive of the ciy government.
Vicki shared her experience on doing her part to beat the spread of the novel coronavirus in her own little way.
“Recently, i've been thinking about my 'why' . Being able to help others will always be one of them. Thank you to Brgy. Dasmariñas, the Covid Task Force of Makati, Carrie Legazpi, and all the front liners present in CSA Makati today. It was an honor to serve with you.”
Several celebrities and personalities lauded Vicki and her team for their efforts to help the frontliners in the vaccination program.
On April 20, the Department of Health (DOH) recorded 7,379 new COVID-19 infections with the total number of cases in the country reaching 953,106.
The DOH also recorded 21,664 new recoveries, which brought the total number of active cases down to 127,006. The positivity rate on Tuesday was at 17.9%.
The national government is encouraging healthcare workers, seniors, and persons with comorbidities to get their COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible.
Even celebrities are doing their part to encourage more people to get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity.
