Alden Richards is thrilled to be working with one of his industry idols, Christopher De Leon, in the upcoming medical series, “Code Gray.”

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" Tuesday, Asia's Multimedia Star shared that it was the first time he had seen his co-stars.

“Finally, it’s happening and first time namin magkita-kita ng mga kasama ko dito,” Alden said.

“I’m very excited. Of course, makakasama ko ang isa sa mga iniidolo kong artista na si Mr. Christopher De Leon finally for a project. First time namin mag-work together,” he added.

Christopher also admitted that he is challenged by his role, even though he has already portrayed a doctor in several films before.

“This one’s different, entirely different. Parang ano eh, medyo may pagka-Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, I think,” Christopher said.

Cast member Shuvee Etrata is also “sobrang excited” for the series.

“Sobrang excited po, especially working with Kuya Alden. It’s a dream come true and we’re just very excited to work with the cast and, of course, the prod,” Shuvee said.

“It’s a role na gustong-gusto ko talaga gawin because I’ve always wanted to become a doctor. So ngayon, as a nurse,” she added.

Allen Ansay, meanwhile, is playing Alden’s younger brother, who is the opposite of him.

“Kapatid niya ‘ko na medyo magbibigay ng problema sa kanya, so medyo magiging ready tayo diyan. Kasi kabaligtaran din talaga ng personality ko,” Allen said.

"Code Gray" will also be a mix of drama, thriller, and suspense.

More cast members include Andrea Torres, Faith Da Silva, Romnick Sarmenta, Joross Gamboa, Christian Bautista, Kristoffer Martin, and Jon Lucas.

Aside from "Code Gray," Alden is also set to star in the collab project “Love, Siargao” with Nadine Lustre. He is currently the host of "Stars on the Floor," which airs on Sundays at 7 p.m. on GMA Network.
