Aicelle Santos gets her first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

International Broadway star Aicelle Santos joins a call for people to get vaccinated as government and health experts are more concerned about the highly-contagious Delta coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) variant.

The All Out Sundays performer posted a photo after taking her first dose in the vaccination site in the city of Manila and encouraged everyone to be inoculated already.

Aicelle stressed, “Finally, after so many attempts, brother and I got our first dose! Yehey! Thank you so much Kuya Ube and Ate Reynalyn sa pagsama po sa amin. Salamat mahal kong Maynila!

“Have yourself vaccinated the 1st chance you get. This way we can protect our children, our families and help our country move forward. Let's go Pilipinas!”

As of today, July 28, the Philippines recorded a total of 1,556,667 COVID-19 infections with 27,401 of our kababayans died from the dreaded virus.

Meanwhile, 6,089,314 individuals have been fully inoculated according to the data provided by the Department of Health (DOH) on July 25.
