Iya Villania warns fellow parents about skin infection that happened to son Primo

By Nherz Almo

The Arellano household recently experienced a health scare after Iya Villania and Drew Arellano's eldest son, Primo, developed a skin infection.

In an Instagram post, Iya shared a few snaps of Primo and his cellulitis under his nose. She wrote on its caption, "Drew and I never thought this could happen from wiping your nose so much."

The Mars Pa More host went on to describe how this condition led to a skin infection called cellulitis. According to Center for Disease Control and Prevention, "Cellulitis is a common bacterial skin infection that causes redness, swelling, and pain in the infected area of the skin."

She said, "Primo had the sniffles and so being the big boy he is, he would go ahead and wipe his nose [a mix of dry facial tissue and saline wipes but more of the saline wipes]. He wiped so much that eventually the area around his nose got so red and inflamed [sad, heartbroken emojis] our doc called it out as cellulitis and that if it worsened that he'd have to be admitted as the infection might approach the brain [sad emjoi].

"Thank God he didn't have to be admitted and looks like we're recovering [praying hands emoji] but just wanted to give the mamas and papas a heads up coz as much as we want our children to learn to be independent, we never want to see them in a situation like this [heartbroken emoji] I know… it's a hard mix."

Friends and fans of Iya expressed their concern for Primo on the comment section. The TV host, on the other hand, assured everyone that "Primo's much better now."
